What is EDC?
Every Day Carry – however you carry it
A guy told me that “EDC is ONLY that which is on your body ! If it’s in a bag, not your body, it is for getting home after a SHTF event.”

EDC items common  for all:
            Cell phone
            Car keys
            Wallet w/ ID & cards/cash
            Women carry purses

My personal on-body EDC
            Right front pocket
                        RFID blocking card wallet
                                    Cards, Business cards, $20
                        Money clip
                        Pocket knife

            Left front Pocket
                        Lighter
                        2 Challenge coins

            Right rear pocket
                      A badge case
                                    Retirement badge and ID
                                    Money Krista doesn’t know about
                                                Guess she does now

            Left rear pocket
                        Bandana & Comb

            On my belt
                        7-8 o’clock – Full sized multi tool
                        4-5 o’clock – Full sized handgun

What is an EDC bag – something to carry all that other  stuff you regularly need or might need
We carry small cross body bags
Used to carry a computer backpack
No longer carry to laptop daily
Tablet fits nicely in the EDC bag

YOU choose what YOU should carry every day
          What makes sense to you?

I decided it was time for me to do an EDC dump, and rebuild my bag.
I dumped it on my desk and it was a mess!

Here are the contents that were in my bag:

Business cards
Three Microfiber lens cleaning cloths
Twenty-one floss type toothpicks
A dental pick
Two thumbdrives
A new key to something….
Key to a truck I no longer drive
A lighter plug charger head
A USB charger cord
A power bank
A hex key set
A 5” adjustable wrench
Two sets of nail clippers
Two knives – a pocket & a folder
An empty contact lens case
Wad of keys, carabineers, w/ 4 mini survival tools
Bag of small safety pins
Rarely used wallet
1 pack of Alkaseltzer
1 Imodium tablet
1 cough drop
1 peppermint
1 AA battery
1 BOTTLE of naproxen sodium tablets
2 small altoids tins, one empty

I had a lot of work to do, and here are the results of my reworked EDC bag:

Inside the main compartment are two small pockets. In those pockets are now:
                        Four floss type toothpick
                        Business cards
                        Four wet microfiber lens wipes
                        To Altoid tins
                                    One – Naproxen Sodium
                                    One - Omeprazole & Immodium
                        A pen/stylus
                        A mechanical pencil
                        One lip balm
One small bottle of rewetting drops for my contacts

I made several small Ziploc bag kits:
Bag with 4 AA, 4AAA batts
        Bag w/ 20 floss toothpics
Bag with 1 thumbdrive, power bank, lighter adaptor, wall charger, 3 headed cord
        A lashlight
A bag with an extra pocket knife, 5” adjustable wrench, hextool set, and a lighter
One SWAT-T tourniquet in an outside pouch
One CAT tourniquet in the main compartment
        Ear buds
First-aid kit in a semi-hard zippered sunglass case
                    2 – 4x4
Large, Medium, & small bandaids, 12 alcohol wipes,
Packs of Pepto, Imodium, sinus pills, and pack of small safety pins
         A small 3.5” x 5” journal

The bag still has room to drop in anything specific to the trip.
Small digital recorder for capturing ideas, sunglasses, bottle of water, etc.

Let us encourage you to check your EDC bag and refresh and reorganize it. The changing of the seasons is a great time to do that.

Merry Christmas - We'll see you in January
