The cost of everything we buy is going up.
Our money doesn't go as far as it used to.
People are hurting, concerned about putting groceries on the table, keeping the lights on and their family comfortable. Some are deciding if they will buy medications or groceries this week.
And, there are concerns of a coming recession.
This is the second episode of "Inflation and recession busting ideas, as we discuss ways to stretch our money.

We keep hearing the word "recession" mentioned, and the worst case would be a "depression" so we decided to do this two episode series on inflation and recession busters, and how we can get ahead of it in case it does come about.

Grow Some Of Your own Food
     Start a vegetable or herb garden in your backyard
     In containers if you have limited space.
     Cost-effective way to enjoy fresh produce and reduce grocery bills.
 
Cook at Home:
      Prepare meals at home instead of eating out.
      Saves money
      Allows you to control ingredients, portions, and quality
 
     Plan your meals in advance and cook in larger batches.
     Reduces food waste,
     Saves money on groceries,
     Provides ready-to-eat options for busy days.
 
Maximize DIY:
     Learn basic repairs,
     Home & car maintenance
     Lawn maintenance
     Other do-it-yourself skills
     Save money on professional services.
 
Make your own cleaning products
     Use simple ingredients like vinegar, baking soda, and lemon.
     It's a cost-effective and eco-friendly way to keep your home clean.


Be mindful of your energy consumption
     Turn off lights when not in use,
     Use energy-efficient appliances, and
     Insulate your home.
     Adjust thermostats
     Reduces utility bills
 
Look for free or low-cost entertainment options
     Community events,
     Local parks,
     Libraries,
     Free online resources
 
Negotiate:
     Don't be afraid to negotiate prices or ask for discounts,
especially when dealing with larger purchases or services.
 
Barter goods & services
       Fresh garden vegetables
       Lawn services
       Computer repair services
 
DIY Gifts:
     Instead of buying expensive gifts,
     Consider making homemade presents or
     Giving experiences that create lasting memories.
 
Cancel Unused Subscriptions:
     Evaluate your subscriptions and cancel any that you no longer use or find value in. This can free up money for other priorities.
 
Review Insurance Policies:
      Periodically assess your insurance policies to ensure you have the right coverage at the best price. Shop around for competitive rates.
